The Bols ballerina bottles are novelty liqueur bottles produced by the Dutch distillery Lucas Bols. This like there other bottles contain an internal glass dome, inside of which is a small model of a ballerina. It also has a music box that plays La Bleu Danube which works but really slow.It measures 9 1/4” tall and is 4 "” in diameter at the base. Bols ballerina bottles were produced from 1957 until the late 1970s. Judging by the age of this label I believe this one was made in the late 1950’s or early 1960’s.When I received this bottle it was unopened and was stored lying down, some of the liqueur has seeped out now the seal and cap are loose and do lift off. To prevent leakage during shipping the bottle will be corked and taped or I can empty the liqueur before shipping, your choice. The bottles came in several liquor variations such as Apricot Brandy, Gold Liqueur, Triple Sec or Creme de Menthe. This bottle is a rare one containing a banana flavored liquor with hints of v anilla, almond, herbs, and spices. Most of the bottles on the market today contained the Gold Liqueur or Crème de Menthe. Please review the pictures for the details and conditions of this piece and don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
