Antique Child School Desk + Ink Well + Attached Round Stool ! Vintage child's school desk with attached chair/stool appears to be from around the 1920's or 1930's but we are not certain - could be up to Mid-Century except we don't remember sitting at one of these back then without a seat back! The desk has metal sides with a wooden top and metal bottom. The frame is tubular steel and the surface rust on this should be removed and painted with a rust preventive paint or similar to really fix it up and give it some color! The attached round seat, with no back (hard to find - seats with backs that are attached limit the size of what can fit at the desk, but what a long day with no support!) is hardwood. The top of the desk opens for storage and also has a hole for an ink well and a groove for a pencil and ink pen. Condition is good and sturdy. We have not painted this and it is possible any paint left on this is original - we've had it stored in a dry environment - not outside. The dimensions on this are as follows: Overall: 24" high X 30" long X 24" wide (approx.) as it sits; Seat: 14" diameter - height from ground to top of wood is 14" and can be adjusted another 5" to 6" and is actually removable; Desk top: 20-1/4" wide X 6" deep X 15" front to back (length). It is presently set at the lowest point which is 18" from the bottom read more
