OMG... Chippy LADY, MAIDEN STATUE... with a BASKET for your ROSES! Hello and thank you for viewing my auction! I am pleased to offer this gorgeous old statue for your consideration. This is a marked Marwal piece, which features a maiden with basket. I believe she is made of chalkware or some other plaster type substance. The bottom of this statue is felted, so probably best for indoor use. She is substantial in weight, because she's solid throughout. Her paint finish is not original, as she's been given a whitewash, and she's somewhat chippy. T are remnants of her former beige coloration peeking through. She is just wonderful, and her basket presents with so many display possibilites! I have filled it with my porcelain flowers, for display purposes, but they will not be included.Her vintage condition is fabulous! She does have some shab to the chic due to her age... she's a bit chippy... a bit crackly... wonderful! I love her and just know you will too! I took lots of photos, inside and out, so please take a peek. The indoor photos seemed to pick up the "shab" a little better. Also, please see measurements as they are part of my description.
