Copyright 1964, this is 2nd edition (printing) as indicated by 5 line colophon on last page and original text and illustrations that described Oompa-Loompas as pygmies (p. 73).Hard to find original text version of children's classic in excellent condition. Red hardcover with embossed decoration on front and titles in gilt on spine. Mustard color endpapers. No marks or inscription. Binding solid and tight. Dust jacket complete with price of $3.95 on front flap, minor edge wear with a few small tears, yellowing from age, some pink pen marks on back cover (see picture).Payment via Paypal expected within three days of auction end.
